So I’ve ranted in the past about how much I hate school so much and how I’ve wasted so many years of my life in Universities that made little to no impact in my future. Welp. Recently, I’ve enrolled in a Blogging 101 course through WordPress and I’m super excited to learn more about the Blogger world. I started blogging back in 2007 as a Freshman in College. I used the internet as a public diary. I started out writing solely about my complicated love life and all of the obstacles I’d been taken through. It wasn’t until I dropped out of college did I understand that I could make a career out of blogging.

In 2014, I created www.sandrealanay.com and I treated it like my baby. This new project was something that I legit wanted the whole world to take serious. Of course it wasn’t until I started making promises to myself that I started to put too many expectations on myself. I hadn’t properly built my brand, I basically just dived in head first. I produced material but I became very inconsistent which I believe is why I don’t have a specific following today.

Today, I would like to take my brand to a whole other level. I feel like I’ve gained a lot of knowledge and I’ve experienced a lot of trial and error but I get it now. Consistency is key, however quality over quantity. My biggest goal this 2016 year is to establish myself in the blogger community. Overlooking 2015 I found myself attending so many different events supporting my artistic friends, however I never ventured out into events more so catering to the blogger community. Some may say, well as a blogger you should be able to find inspiration where ever you are… which is true also.

My goals for today is to really take my blog to the next level. I would like to implement a trustworthly vibe to maybe open some eyes of Sponsors or Brand Developers. I would like to upgrade from wordpress.com to wordpress.org (once I really understand the difference) and I just would like to make this hobby my career and lifestyle.
